Emotron FlowDrive is designed for use in the most common pumping scenarios (1-2 pumps of any brand) in the wastewater management industry. The heart of FlowDrive is automatic reservoir level control – which optimises energy use, minimises the need for maintenance, and enables real time process monitoring. Emotron FlowDrive is designed for easy installation and is compatible with most telemetry systems. Eliminating the need for a PLC, fewer cables are needed, which means the installation is simple and cost-effective. During commissioning, the user interface prompts the customer to input the relevant operating parameters. Once up and running, performance data (for each pump, wherever separate data is of value) is continuously available.


  • Available as robust and certified IP54 metal construction or IP20/21 version
  • Fully automatic waste water reservoir level control
  • Best Efficiency Point (BEP) calculation for energy optimal operation
  • Efficiency is increased by using built-in cleaning functions; pump cleaning, sump cleaning, pipe cleaning
  • All drive sizes are delivered with built-in Category C3 EMC-filter as standard. Cat C2 as option
  • Coated board as standard
  • Temp/Speed controlled fans assures less noise, a more even drive temperature and higher efficiency
  • Detachable multi-language control panel included as standard. Following languages are supported in the control panel: English, Swedish, Dutch, German, French, Spanish, Russian, Italian, Czech and Turkish
  • Removable control panel with own memory means it is easy to transfer or copy settings
  • UL/cUL (UL 840) approved version available (not IP2Y)

Initially available in IP54 and IP20, within the 0.75-160 kW range, the new drive concept is fully tested and proven. Thanks to its coated boards in robust IP54- certified casings, you can rest assured it will withstand the challenges of demanding industrial settings.

Self-learning system
During commissioning, the user configures all motor data and levels. The self-learning program then takes over, taking the measurements and calculating process data to enable optimal control. Features include load monitoring, best efficiency point and flow estimation.

Best efficiency point (BEP) algorithm
Initially, the drive operates in learn mode in order to establish the most efficient operating parameters for the BEP algorithm. By running the pump over a range of frequencies and measuring the volumes pumped, it defines the most energyefficient pumping frequency, and calibrates the related functions accordingly.Thereafter, the reservoir level control operates according to these defined values.
