All the products: VACON® 10, VACON® 20 and VACON® 20 Cold Plate have one major thing in common. They are designed to be efficient and easy to use. Applying the product should be easy, it should fit into the space available for it and we want the installation and configuration time to be as short as possible. Machinery and products produced in large quantities should be well optimized and efficient. A standard drive solution is not always the optimum solution. We at Vacon have, from the start, developed our working processes in a way that allows us to customize the products to meet customer needs. The use of AC drives is one of the key contributors to energy saving and thus to reduced emissions and pollution. Vacon aims to be an all around environmentally friendly company – our products are a good example of that. You can also see it in our ways of working. We have developed our manufacturing process in order to minimize the impact on the environment. All excess materials in the production and service processes are carefully sorted and recycled.

About Vacon
The company, named Vaasa Control Ltd, was founded on 9 November 1993.The name would be changed to Vacon Plc in 2000. Vaasa Control entered into several distribution agreements with various companies in Finland and Europe before the first product, the VACON CX, reached production phase. This was done to ensure the widest possible distribution from the word go. Multi-channel sales and multi-brand thinking were a strategic choice. Today, Vacon sells its products to OEMs, system integrators, brand label customers, value-added resellers, distributors and end customers, ensuring the company can thrive in a rapidly changing environment.
Since the founding of the company, the cornerstone of its corporate culture has been a special, positive atmosphere and attitude towards work, the Vacon Spirit, which originates in the strong entrepreneurship, values and vision of the 13 founding members.
Vacon has production and R&D facilities in Europe, Asia and North America, sales offices in 30 countries with sales representatives and service partners in nearly 90 countries.
Vacon is driven by a passion to develop, manufacture and sell the best AC drives and inverters in the world - and provide customers with efficient product lifecycle services. Vacons AC drives offer optimum process control and energy efficiency for electric motors and inverters play a key role when energy is produced from renewable sources.
In 2014, Vacon’s revenues amounted to EUR 409.4 million, and the company employed globally approximately 1,600 people.
