Delta Electronics held a product launch for its new AC servo drive - ASDA-A2 series in Taiwan area on April. During the product launch, Delta Electronics’ specialists of Industrial Automation Business Unit (IABU) explained the functions, characteristics and applications of new ASDA-A2 series, and all attendants, representatives from Delta Electronics’ distributors – Jidien, ACE Pillar and USE Electronics, participated discussions with high interests in an active atmosphere.
As a good start, this product launch was successfully held. There will be more product launches at Beijing, Shanghais, Guangzhou… in China after July, and then a worldwide sale later as predicted. We believe Delta Electronics’ new ASDA-A2 will catch more attention of media and potential customers then and open a wider market.
■ Delta Electronics' New AC Servo Drive: ASDA-A2 series
Combining slim design and strong software control function, Delta Electronics' new ASDA-A2 series greatly increases the efficiency of wiring and quickly achieve excellent performance to satisfy all kinds of application demands from high precise positioning equipment, such as CNC machine tool and equipment for the semiconductor industry. In addition, Delta Electronics ASDA-A2 not only features high precise tracking function but also provides CANopen interface for high-speed network communication, and can be applied on the applications of multi-axis control machine tools (e.g. textile machine, printing machine, injection molding machine, coating machine, and packaging machine). Moreover, its slim and elegant design, and strong software control function greatly increase the efficiency of wiring and quickly achieve excellent performance.
As to the design, ASDA-A2 uses smooth arc shape to create a fashion appearance. With delicate carved pattern on the machine case, ASDA-A2 fits perfectly in harsh industrial environments. Different from other industrial products, we chose dark great for ASDA-A2 to highlight the usefulness and durability features of the product.
Furthermore, the green concept in design of ASDA-A2 echoes the consideration for the environment, and it complies with RoHS of the EU. Its compact structure consumes the smallest quantity of PCB and is more environmental-friendly, and its cardboard box for packing is in original color which is least harmful to the environment. Besides, the recycle sign marked inside the machine case adheres to the environmental protection and recycling concepts in the world.
So far ASDA-A2 has won two national awards - “New Leading Product Development Project” by Industrial Development Bureau, Ministry of Economic Affairs Taiwan in August 2007 and “Good Design” by industrial Development Bureau of Ministry of Economic Affairs in April 2008. In addition, United States Patent & Trademark Office announced in September 2007 that the control module and power module in the "three-in-one AC servo drive" (includes ASDA-A2 series) were officially granted U.S. Patent No. 7,268,515. Right now ASDA-A2 is trying to win G-Mark Award in Japan and many other prizes in European countries and in U.S., hopefully the bring Delta Electronics’ products to the whole world.
